don't hog, share the blog! Or some such stupid headline

Ok, so a lot of ideas I get are off other blogs. And of course this is totally acceptable and part of the blogging community.. as long as you credit when credit is due! And this morning, as I was sneezing (from alergies) into my coffee (I know... gross), I enjoyed a nice moment viewing a few videos that The Coveted shared.

First up, she shares a channel off of youtube, from WSITN (What Style Is To Nickel ). In this video, RICHIE NICKEL gives us advice about spring basics. A lovely leather DIY jacket is lovingly shared, and he shows us how to incorporate scarves into our wardrobe and how to make them look quite chic! But really, only 3 bags??!!

He's just so adorable!

Ok, so one more lift from The coveted. And This one is absolutley divine. So besides purse obsessions, I have a hat obsession. I have a wall of purses and a wall of hats. But my hats need updating. And now when I get a nice felt hat, I'm told I need to store it in a box so it will stay nice!!!

So, to the point. This posing, or video, is from Threadbanger, and Threadbanger has the most interesting useful DIY posts. In this post, they introduce us to Victor Osborne, at his shop in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, who shows us how to make our very own felt hat! Very easy to follow, and he makes it look so easy! I haven't tried it so I don't know if it is! But I'm willing to bet, with some challenges we can do it!

Oh god! I want to change professions now and become a milliner! OMG OMG his hats rock!!!

Don't forget to visit the ThreadBanger blog as well!!
and Victor's website: victorosborne.com.

Now I'm off to do some work. I'm building 3 websites simultaneously!! Ouch.

If you enjoy this blog, why not follow me! (check the right hand column and sign up!)

I only wish I could wear a jacket and scarf during the summer. If I did that in Hong Kong, I think I'd die of heat exhaustion! But I completely agree about getting inspiration from other blogs. That's why they're there, right?

Yes exactly! It's like a pool of information, and we can share it with all our extended friends and bloggers.

In NY, fall and spring are great for scarfs and jackets.. but once summer gets here, you can't put anything on. Just too hot! sticky hot. Ick.
